Icy Swan - 3D Origami by SophieEkard Icy Swan - 3D Origami by SophieEkard
White and blue Swan!

Much much bigger!

Really, this one is not that time-consuming!

I made my first 3D origamis during my exams, I'm on vacation since two weeks. :D

Well, that's not really my model, i got inspired by one, who himself took it from a book. xD Some variations, and it is probably no one's model. :/
Go ahead.

By folding little pieces of paper. xD Well check out for 3d origami. I don't know more. :p

Oh wow that's so cool. I have never heard of 3D oragami before. How long did it take you to finish? I remember when I attempted to do oragami and I would never fold the shapes or anything right because the instructions were always so confusing to follow.

I made it yesterday afternoon. Maybe 6-7 hours, don't really know. Well, simple origami consist of folding one sheet of paper into something (can be confusing some times I agree xD).
And 3D origami, consists of folding several pieces of paper (almost 200 hundreds pieces, here), and use it like LEGOs.
To make the pieces of paper, you have to cut a sheet of paper into pieces. I used one sheet of paper to do 8 pieces (usually, it is one sheet for 32 pieces), because I wanted to make a big one.

Actually, I think that this is much easier that simple origami, you should try it! Look on Youtube for Jewellia7777: 3D origami for beginners. She explains how to make the pieces and also gives some tutorials to make little intricate paper scultures.
One bad point, this can take much much time to fold all these pieces, but it's worth it!
